Pam

Transforming discarded furniture and handmade objects is simply in Pam’s DNA. From the time she was ten years old designing and painting pieces for her parents friends, to receiving her BFA in Studio Arts, it has defined her life’s purpose and passion. Fortunately it has also served as a lucrative career path, taking her to amazing places and connecting her to the most colorful and creative people she’s ever met.

When she’s not dragging something in off the street, (she was “dumpster diving” before it was fashionable), or scouring thrift stores or junk yards for objects to breathe new life into, she could be found supporting thousands of other artists careers. This occurred in her roles as a folk art studio manager, decorative arts book publisher, marketing consultant for Liquitex paints, Executive Director for DIFFA, MN (Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS), and most recently, the Director of Marketing & Communications for the national arts nonprofit - the American Craft Council.

Mike

Michael, who’s professional career has been in business-to-business publishing, began his love for woodworking at an early age while hanging out in his grandfather’s shop and watching him replicate antique furniture. But many of those skills that he learned such as patience, attention to detail and accuracy were transferred to restoring and collecting old cars, a hobby that’s still very much a part of his life. With age, he’s come to reacquaint himself with — and to appreciate that — working with wood is just as satisfying. He would rather repair an older vintage piece than build something new. He’s always the realist when it comes to analyzing a necessary repair or the steps needed to execute Pam’s latest vision for upcycling a project. As she always says “ Michael is an amazing master craftsman, but more importantly my dog loving soulmate.” Speaking of dogs….meet our forewoman TulaBea!

 TULABEA

Just take one look at that face and you’ll know who runs our home and repair shop! Tula (meaning new beginnings) Bea (meaning blessings) is a no-nonsense Black Mouth Cur that came to us this past Fall from Healing Hearts Rescue. After the tragic loss of our “dog son” Jasper, TulaBea, a mere two-year old raised in the wild, had already given birth to two litters of pups when she came to heal our lives. When she’s not herding us in the repair shop, she can be found lounging on every soft surface in the house, or wedged between us snoring. So much for the rules about not being on the furniture!

Let’s Get Started

We’ll prepare an estimate and walk you through every step of the process.
